We can’t suppose one’s life without email service. We are using the mail service for personal as well as for business purposes so if it stops working, then it may cut our daily profit or incentive.

Check the Relay setting of SMTP server:

Check the names of Mail servers:
To check the names of your Email server i: e RCN, you can go to Email center setup link and login to the account by entering the login name and password. Here you need to enter the complete email address and the password you used to login to the account. Go to ‘Tools’ from the web-based email and click on ‘Email setup’. Check the following fields in the link:
- Incoming mail server fields.
- Outgoing mail server fields used for SMTP.
- Check the port settings:
In order to check the port settings, you need to login to the account. Sometimes, your internet service provider may block some ports due to security reasons so as to protect the network from firewalls and malware. If you are facing this problem, then it is recommended to use the alternate port here. The alternate port numbers are selected on the basis of security selected. We are going to discuss the port numbers in accordance with the security type.
Without SSL: Port number for incoming IMAP server is 143 and Protocol used is IMAP. For the POP mail server, the port number used is 110 and the SMTP outgoing port numbers can be selected from the given number; 80, 25, 3535.
With SSL: If you are using SSL security type, then the Port number for IMAP protocol is 993 and the Port number for the POP protocol is 995. For outgoing SMTP port, the port number is 465.
An additional check for account related problem:
It includes the size of the message which you are going to send to the recipient and the number of email addresses on which the same message is going to be sent.
You must check the daily relay limit. It must not cross the limits. Otherwise, you will get the problem with your RCN email login account.
Note: One relay comprises of one email message sent to the individual using SMTP settings of the server. If you are sending the same message to more than one person, then the same number of relay count will be considered. These relay counts are considered on a routine basis.
